About Nosremé

The Nosremé Quartet was founded in 2022 at the Peabody Institute by violinists Pei Wu, Derek Chen, and Hsiang-Yu Meng, violist Hsiang-Hsin Ching, and cellist George Jennings. The name “Nosremé” signifies a shared state of consciousness in which people exist fully within the eternity of the present moment, reflecting the ensemble’s collaborative and immersive approach to music-making.
Since its founding, the quartet has performed on distinguished stages, including Van Cliburn Concert Hall at TCU and Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. Beyond performance, Nosremé is deeply committed to education and creative media, engaging in teaching initiatives and audio and video production projects that bring classical music to broader audiences.
